What is special about our ceramics?

Ceramics is by nature one of the most valuable elements on our planet, as it consists of the 4 elements clay (earth), water, air and fire. The 5th element is the respective potter, who shapes wonderful and unique pieces from the lump of clay. Especially in today's world, where environmental awareness and sustainability are of great importance, it is all the more valuable to use ceramics in the household.

Are ceramic items dishwasher safe?

Yes. our ceramics can be used in the dishwasher, microwave or even in the oven. When baking, care should only be taken to heat the ceramic and not to place it in the preheated one, as this could cause cracks.

Teapots should be rinsed out with warm water before use.

What payment options are there?

In addition to PayPal, credit card and Sofortüberweisung, we also offer purchase on account with Klarna. With this payment option, you should note the following; Since we only use Klarna as a payment provider through our shop system, we have no influence on any payment deadlines.

How can I return my items?

The return costs are borne by the consumer when exercising the right of withdrawal, provided that the entrepreneur has informed him of this legal consequence and the entrepreneur has not agreed to bear these costs himself. This regulation applies regardless of the value of the returned goods.


The processing time is usually 6-9 working days after you have sent the package. For returns from abroad, the processing time is unfortunately somewhat longer due to the shipping time.
Please note that returns can take up to 14 days to process in December and January. We ask for your understanding in this regard.

As soon as we have received your return, you will receive an e-mail from us confirming receipt and processing.

How long do I have a warranty on my item?

The warranty period is 2 years.

How do I claim a damaged item?

Please send us a brief description of how the defect arose. In order to show your defect clearly, please send us 2-3 descriptive pictures in JPEG format by e-mail info@ alteschmiede.com. The error must be clearly visible.
After receiving the photos, your case will be reviewed as soon as possible. You will receive feedback from us within a few days on how to proceed.

How do I get my money back?

The refund varies depending on the payment method and will be made within 10 working days after the return has been processed.

In the case of advance payment and cash on delivery: Please enter your bank details on the return slip. The credit will be made to the specified account.

With a credit card: The amount will be transferred back to your credit card account within 24 hours. The booking will appear on the next credit card statement.

With immediate transfer: The amount will be transferred back to your bank account within 24 hours.

With PayPal: Please enter your bank details or your PayPal account on the return slip. The credit will be made to the specified account.
